Hi,
I’m Emma
I’m a Social Media Strategist with a background in TV and a passion for helping female founders show up online with clarity and confidence.
Before launching Digital Mother, I spent 15 years in television as a journalist and producer – working on everything from red carpet interviews to all-night election coverage. My time at ITV from GMTV to Good Morning Britain sharpened my storytelling skills and gave me a producer’s eye for spotting content in everyday moments.
In 2017, I left TV behind, retrained as a social media manager, and started running workshops to support other mums in business. That’s when I realised: helping women turn their expertise into powerful content is what truly lights me up.
Now I coach female founders to use Instagram and LinkedIn strategically – not just to post more, but to grow their visibility, build trust, and attract clients in a way that feels doable and aligned.
Social media doesn’t have to run your life. I’ll help you build a content system that works for your business – step by step, with support, strategy, and a whole lot of encouragement.
When I’m not coaching or inside the Digital Mother Content Club, I’m with my two beautiful daughters (and our fluffy cat Sweetie) in Kingston-upon-Thames. Devon born and raised, I’m always chasing sunshine, riverside walks, or a trip back down the M3 to the sea.
Give me a call to discuss how I can help.
Case studies
1:1 Social Media Audit
Despite having thousands of followers on Instagram, Sophie from Munchkin and Bear, wanted to refocus on her Insta. If you looked at her page you may have thought, she doesn’t need any help, but a fresh pair of eyes was just what she needed to get her mojo back and for some new ideas to move forward. Her results have been amazing!
“Just the shot of adrenaline I needed! The audit was a super useful pitstop to help me refocus and LOTS of stuff for me to try and install into my week”
Instagram Workshop
Rachel Russell, Business Coach Thrive Beyond was one of the attendees on my “How to Succeed on Instagram” workshop. It’s a half day practical workshop which Rachel wanted to help create her social media strategy and how that converts into getting new clients.
“Emma's workshop was a brilliant in helping me understand how best to utilise Instagram for my growing business. She presented us with a number of fantastic tools to help us understand how to get the most out of our content to reach our target market. I would certainly recommend her workshops to others.”
Group Training – Kingston First
I won a bid to train the members of Kingston First in various aspects of social media. We are covering Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. This is on ongoing project which has been well received by the company and the Kingston businesses.
“Emma has provided training to both Kingston First and our member community. Her style is patient and practical and very interactive. I always learn something new from her sessions and feel confident to try different things.”
Shareena Merzi, Director of Communications and Corporate Development at Kingston First
